Meet

Adrianne Waffle, DVM

Dr Adrianne Waffle Mobile Sonographer; Mobile Ultrasound

Dr. Waffle’s emphasis on understanding animals for correct pathology has led to a successful career at Torch Lake Veterinary Clinic. In 2018, she first joined SonoPath for an abdominal lecture and SDEP® protocol lab, leading to her dynamic role at Torch River Veterinary Mobile. Her passion for ultrasound stems in solving pathology questions, and she actively seeks teaching moments through reviewing colleague cases, textbooks, and learning with vetfolio. Her hands-on participation at the echo and abdominal lab courses at SonoPath’s Education Center ensures Dr. Waffle’s diagnostic efficiency remains accurate and up-to-date.

Outside of her work with mobile ultrasound, Dr. Waffle enjoys kayaking, swimming, biking, skiing, and snow shoeing. When she visits your clinic, ask about her aspiration to complete the entire North Country Trail and feel free to share your favorite long-distance hiking spots with her.

SDEP® Certified Mobile Sonographer Dr. Adrianne Waffle, DVM, leads Torch River Veterinary Mobile, fueled by SonoPath. After graduating from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Waffle pursued internships at Oklahoma State University and University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana, developing a passion for internal medicine. In 2006, she established the Torch Lake Veterinary Clinic in Alden, Michigan. Dr. Waffle resides in the Alden area with her husband Billy and their five dogs: Stoney (a staffy rescue), Walter (a springer), Hoppes (a golden retriever), Boone (a golden retriever), and Goose (an incorrigible corgi – with a tail!).

Why Choose Torch River Veterinary Mobile?

Torch River Veterinary Mobile works with your hospital to help quickly find the answers you need. From phone call to clinic visit in 12-24 hours, you and your patient will have the support of our experienced general practitioner quickly, keeping your cases in-house. Dr. Waffle visits your clinic, performs the ultrasound, and provides a comprehensive report. If needed, she performs ultrasound-guided needle aspirates, abdominocentesis, or pericardiocentesis.

You receive routine reports within 24 hours of case submission. STAT reports in less than 6 hours. The report includes sonographic findings and internal medicine treatment recommendations with annotated images identifying any pathology or areas of interest.

At Torch River Veterinary Mobile, we know that diagnostic ultrasound is the modality of choice for non-invasive investigation of soft tissue, including the abdomen, heart, thorax and small parts such as thyroid and musculoskeletal structures. Our results with high-quality, advanced techniques in ultrasound yield an abundance of information in the diagnostic work-up for the general practitioner and specialist alike.

Torch River Veterinary Mobile is fueled by SonoPath– fostering the art of veterinary medicine. Founded by Dr. Eric Lindquist, DVM (Italy), DABVP (CFP), Cert. IVUSS, SonoPath provides a source of sonographic pathology information accessible to veterinarians of all levels of canine, feline, and exotic medicine.
